Books by K.C. Shaw/Kate Shaw
I write books and stories! I haven't had a website for my books in a long time, so I've added this page to point people to my writing. I mostly write fantasy and SF, sometimes nonfiction, mystery, and YA, often with furry themes. Check back frequently as I add books, many of them long out-of-print and newly revised with terrible, terrible covers I made myself.

Tolchester isn’t like most towns, though. Soon Jack and his pet dragon Pepper are mixed up in the hunt for a magical artifact—and they’re not the only ones searching. Jack must outwit wasp-men and fairies, angry ghosts and cross neighbors, all while working as an odd-jobs man.

Murder by Numbers
amateur sleuth/cozy mystery

Lark Whittaker joined the Atlanta Podcasters Association to make friends and get tips for promoting her podcast. She’s none too pleased when her ex-boyfriend shows up and a jerk named Tate antagonizes everyone in the room.

But when Lark witnesses the hit and run that leaves Tate dead after the meeting, she’s convinced the murderer is a fellow podcaster.

A combination of nosiness and guilt that she didn’t like Tate compels Lark to investigate. Then a fellow podcaster dies in a suspicious car accident, and Lark uncovers evidence that her ex might have killed Tate.

The more she digs, the more dirt she uncovers: about Tate, about her ex, and about her new podcasting friends. Lark wishes she’d stuck to researching shortwave numbers stations for her podcast—especially since someone seems determined to make her the next victim.
If she doesn’t discover Tate’s murderer soon, her next episode might be her last.
